Windvibes is the largest multiple-watersports event in the Turks and Caicos Islands, annually attracting hundreds to the shores of Long Bay Beach on Providenciales.
Over the past nine years, the goal of Windvibes has always been to promote kiteboarding and watersports in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
We are a non-profit event and each year Windvibes supports a charity cause. Last year’s initiative supported the TCSPCA’s Spay Neuter Programme.
The Windvibes day is split into for main competitive events: kiteboarding, stand up paddling, kayaking, and swimming, with separate events for men, women, and children. As an amateur event, we don’t offer prize money, but rather gift certificates and sponsored items. It’s not about who wins Windvibes, it’s about who had the most fun!
Through our collaboration with local eco-tourism company, Big Blue Unlimited, who provide a fleet of kayaks and Naish stand up paddle boards, spectators and families are freely allowed to take these out when races aren’t happening. We want everyone to experience the waterlifestyle that the Turks and Caicos offers so well!
Spectators on the beach can enjoy music by DJ Dayoh, freshly grilled island food, and many beach games including volley ball, tug of war, big foot walking, and log throwing. It’s truly a day like none other in the Islands!
This year, our event coincides with the annual Race for the Conch Eco-Swim scheduled for Saturday 5th July, creating the biggest watersports weekend the Turks & Caicos Islands has ever seen!
Don’t miss these two unforgettable days of watersports in the Turks & Caicos Islands!
